 Russell Brand will appear on the new Big Time Rush movie Big Time Beach Party on February 21, 2011. The British comedian will play himself in the one hour made for television movie that will air on Nickelodeon. Big Time Rush debuted on November 28, 2009 and is now in its second season. The show features Kendall Schmidt as Kendall Knight, Logan Henderson as Logan Mitchell, Carlos Pena Jr. as Carlos Garcia and James Maslow as James Diamond. Big Time Rush chronicles the journey of four teenage hockey players as they become a boy band.

Russell Brand will host NBC’s Saturday Night Live on February 12, 2011; musical guest will be Chris Brown. In addition to the Big Time Beach Party movie he has a movie in development and several to be released: Drop Dead Fred, Arthur and Hop.

Big Time Rush has met with favorable reception and enjoys steady, good ratings. The show has been nominated for several awards including the 2010 Poptastic Awards, 2010 Australian Kids’ Choice Awards and the 2010 Teen Icon Awards.

Big Time Rush is currently in London where they are performing and are scheduled to perform at London’s BT Tower.

Russell Brand Teaming Up with Big Time Rush for Beach Party Special!

FROM ZIMBIO – Russell Brand is at it again! In addition to hosting Saturday Night Live next weekend, the British funnyman’s teaming up with the hit Nickelodeon show Big Time Rush for a guest appearance on the series’ “Big Time Beach Party” special, airing later this month.

Brand plays himself on the special one-hour TV movie, and we’re sure he’ll bring the laughs as he joins BTR stars Kendall Schmidt, Logan Henderson, James Maslow, and Carlos Pena on the small screen.

The special doesn’t air for another couple of weeks, but in the meantime the guys are in Europe for some awesome appearances — and a performance at London’s BT Tower!

Russell is just one of the big guest stars to appear on the hit Nick show over its two seasons: Snoop Dogg, Jordin Sparks, Nicole Scherzinger, and Miranda Cosgrove have all joined the guys in previous episodes.

Russel Brand visits Big Time Rush!

British comic Russell Brand has signed on for an episode of Nickelodeon’s “Big Time Rush.”
The episode, tentatively titled “Beach Blanket Big Time,” doesn’t yet have an official airdate. Brand is expected to play himself in several scenes that take place during a party at his beach-front “mansion,” where Big Time Rush plays a concert (it’s possible Brand will join them for an onstage jam session).
“Big Time Rush” has been corralling some big names of late; Snoop Dogg and Fabio (well, a sort-of-big name) appear on this Saturday’s episode (8 p.m.), along with “iCarly” star Miranda Cosgrove.
Brand, who recently married Katy Perry, is also scheduled for a voiceover on “The Simpsons” this season.
