FROM LA TIMES – At last year’s Kids’ Choice Awards, the four guys who star in “Big Time Rush” had only just premiered their Nickelodeon show. But as they walked down the orange carpet on Saturday for the 2011 show, hundreds of teen girls screamed out their names.
“Basically, what’s changed is all of them over there. There’s more of them than there was last year, for sure. We have a huge fan support and we love them for that and we’re so thankful that they’re here supporting us,” said Logan Henderson, one-fourth of the group.
The guys also spend far more time together than they used to. “We see each other seven days a week. We’ve kind of become like brothers. We bicker all the time but we get over it pretty quickly,” explained James Maslow.
During the telecast, the band performed their new single, “Boyfriend,” which seems to play right to their tween fanbase. “We’re not saying we’re trying to rile them up, but if it gets a reaction, then, you know,” shrugged cast member Kendall Schmidt. “If you happen to be looking for a boyfriend,” Maslow chimed in, speaking into the camera at his fans, “I technically could be that boyfriend.”
