–The Clay County Fair has landed, Big Time Rush, the teen sensations featured on the Nickelodeon Channel. “Big Time Rush” the smash series, boasts the highest-rated and most-watched live-action premiere in the history of the Nickelodeon Channel, attracting 6.8 million viewers.
The wildly entertaining and talented musicians featured in the show will perform at the fair at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17.
During a recent appearance at the Mall of America, over 9,000 fans showed up to cheer, James, Carlos, Kendall and Logan, the stars of Big Time Rush. The appearances at the Mall of America and the Clay County Fair excites Big Time Rush as it allows them to take their music to the stage, not just to perform live before their fans, but to also show them who they are outside of their on-screen personas.
“We all have such different personalities, and I think we all really want to represent ourselves,” Kendall said. “Ultimately, on the show we are playing characters, and when we get to do a performance, it’s our chance to show who we really are.”
The careers of the four members of the band has been very intense, including working with A-list producers and collaborators such as Kevin Rudolf (Leona Lewis, Lil Wayne), Claude Kelly (Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears), S*A*M and Sluggo (Boys Like Girls, We The Kings, Gym Class Heroes) and OFM (Jay Sean).
Although they’ve sold nearly 900,000 combined digital singles to date, the recent release of their debut album BTR, followed a two-year audition process and a whirlwind year of filming, recording and promoting, the band eventually holed up at a Los Angeles studio for just over two weeks to record BTR. The album reflects the guys’ boy band aesthetic, but it also taps into a spectrum of genres, including pop, R&B, rock and dance.
