Television pop band Big Time Rush is the latest addition to the Indiana State Fair’s concert lineup.
The quartet, which stars in the Nickelodeon series “Big Time Rush,” will perform Aug. 11 at the Hoosier Lottery Grandstand at the fairgrounds, 1202 E. 38th St.
Tickets for the 6 p.m. show are $15 and $20 and go on sale at 10 a.m. March 11. Ticket prices include admission to the fair.

The stars of the Nickelodeon TV series that chronicles the breaking boy band Big Time Rush will talk with me LIVE online this Thursday, Feb. 24th at 6pm! Wisconsin State Fair officials have mixed hip-hop with classic rock, comedy and old-school country for their first announcement of 2011 acts that will appear on the fair’s Potawatomi Bingo Casino Main Stage.
This year, for the first time, all Main Stage show ticket prices will include fair admission. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday online only atwww.wistatefair.com.
For teens, the fair has landed a big-time crush: the hockey players turned Nickelodeon pop stars of Big Time Rush, featuring Kendall, James, Carlos and Logan, on Aug. 6. The show begins at 7 p.m. with an opening act to be announced. Tickets are $40, $30 and $20.
The 160th edition of the Wisconsin State Fair will run Aug. 4 through Aug. 14 at Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis. Prices do not include service charges.
A little band known as Big Time Rush created a big-time scene Sunday afternoon at the Wyoming Valley Mall, where legions of adoring fans (think preteens and plenty far younger) showed up to try to catch a glimpse of their idols or take their shot at a raffled meet-and-greet. So who or what is Big Time Rush? (The non-Nickelodeon crowd might ask.) “BTR” is a Nick television series about brotherhood and friendship starring Kendall Schmidt as Kendall Knight, James Maslow as James Diamond, Carlos Pena Jr. as Carlos Garcia and Logan Henderson as Logan Mitchell. The boys, best friends from Minnesota, get a chance to become the newest pop sensation as the series chronicles their adventures in Los Angeles.
The latest teen music and television heartthrobs – Big Time Rush – made a surprise visit to the Whelan Sschool Tuesday afternoon and played a concert for the entire elementary school. The kids won an online contest with KISS 108 earlier in the month and the prize was a concert for the whole school. Big Time Rush has a television show on Nickelodeon and also has an up and coming music career. Principal John Macero kept the concert under wraps until a few hoursbefore the performance. None of the children knew about the concert until they arrived in the gymnasium. Naturally, when the found out, they went berserk.
The hotties of Big Time Rush wanted to send you some extra love on this special Valentine’s day! How adorable are these cuties with their red roses? We’re melting! Logan tweeted this: “Spread love like violence. It’s a beautiful day to be Together as One. Happy Valentines Day!” James Maslow wanted to say, “HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!! Today is a day to spread love even if you don’t have a valentine. Friends and family are just as good! Xoxo, JM”

Yes, we love a bit of Brit’ – and it’s true that Gaga, more often than not, drives us a bit, er, gaga. But there’s something truly exciting when a new band or artist comes along, especially when the buzz around them is so big. So imagine our excitement when we were invited to hang out with two such bands – to have a drink and a natter with them and of course, to watch them sing (that is what this is all about after all).
The first band are called Big Time Rush – and their more than a little handsome in a ‘we-still-fancy-Harry-Styles’ type way. The band are showcasing themselves at the moment through their own new Nickelodeon show Big Time Rush (they’re getting the kids on board) but they also played an exciting MTV sessions gig in Camden for us slightly older folk who were looking a little curious, which is basically where they charmed us senseless. The boys – Kendall, 20, James, 20, Carlos, 21 and Logan, 21 – are very pretty to look at. Oh and they’ve already had a Top 3 album in the US Billboard chart with and they’ve also managed to get Snoop Dogg on board for their UK debut single, Boyfriend, which is out on 28 February.
Frankly we totally trust Snoop Dogg’s judgement, so if he’s getting involved. So are we.
