Sony Music and Nickelodeon are excited to announce that America’s hottest new boy band Big Time Rush will release the UK fan edition of their album BTR on the 11th of July. Released on Columbia Records in the U.S., the album includes all the tracks from the band’s hit Nickelodeon TV show of the same name.
Big Time Rush follows the lives of Kendall, James, Carlos and Logan as they swap Minnesota for Los Angeles for a chance at musical superstardom. BTR landed the no. 3 spot on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart last year and is now certified GOLD having sold more than 500,000 albums. The UK version of the album will delight British fans, including 6 bonus tracks and an exclusive poster.
From the infectious Till I Forget About You, where the four-piece showcase their energy and vocal talent, to Boyfriend featuring the distinct vocal-styling of legendary rapper Snoop Dogg – Big Time Rush offers an eclectic mix of diverse tracks.
Kendall states “I think people are going to be really surprised by the kind of music that’s on the album. It shows the diversity in the group and the different styles of music we’re into, and it’s really interesting to hear the mix of our voices – it’s hard to even put a genre on it.”
Hugely popular on both sides of the Atlantic, Big Time Rush have sold more than 2 million digital tracks worldwide.
Following a successful UK trip in April and a sold-out gig at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, the boys are returning to British soil in July to promote their album; and due to popular demand will be performing their second live UK gig at the Manchester Academy on the 8th July.

Big time rush book
Bluewater is pleased to announce a special graphic novel featuring the Nickelodeon phenomenon that is sweeping the nation’s youth. Of course, we’re talking about the boy band that includes Lendall, Logan, Carlos and James.
“FAME: Big Time Rush: The Graphic Novel” will be released in August and have a cover price of $7.99. The biography on the ascension of the boy band is written by CW Cooke and drawn by Erick Orlando Baez.
“We’re excited to bring this book to the table,” said Publisher Darren G. Davis. “Our ‘FAME’ line has done extremely well with the tween generation. Parents are getting these biography comic books to help their kids learn about their icons in a different medium. School and libraries love these biography comic books because of reluctant readers are gravitating to them and reading.
This 40-page graphic novel will be chronicling this saga, “FAME: Big Time Rush: The Graphic Novel ” will explore all sides of this incredibly popular group, from their childhoods to the huge successes they are today.
“Nickelodeon has been a staple of television for so long that we forget how important it is to children as they grow up”, says writer CW Cooke. “”Big Time Rush” gives boys and girls teenage role models that they can look up to without their parents being scared for them.”
“Well, I have to say the book was great fun,” says artist Erick Orlando Baez, because I have always worked on the Italian-styled layouts, which is rather strict, consisting usually of six panels per page. Having all this freedom from Bluewater has been both exciting and somewhat scary. I hope I managed to do a good job. The subject, instead, was rather descriptive, and I’m used to that, so I think I got into it quickly enough.”

Teenies getting ready for BTR!
Hundreds of Big Time Rush fans are expected to be lining up at Bunker Beach Water Park in Coon Rapids this afternoon to see their favorite boy band in concert. The event, hosted by 96.3 NOW, takes place from 3-7 p.m. today to celebrate the season opening of Bunker Beach Water Park.Source: KSTP.com
Doors open at 3 p.m., and Big Time Rush takes the stage at 5 p.m.
Big Time Rush is a Nickelodeon television series about four hockey players from Minnesota and their misadventures in Hollywood as they begin their career. The show stars Kendall Schmidt as Kendall Knight, James Maslow as James Diamond, Carlos Pena Jr. as Carlos Garcia, and Logan Henderson as Logan Mitchell.
Fly 92.3 ´s Summer Jam attracts a Young Crowd
The screams of the young fans at times drowned out the singers at the Fly 92.3 Summer Jam concert at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center Saturday as pop artists, old and new, played to a packed crowd — only the second in the venue’s summer concert series.
The show headliner and clear crowd favorite was Big Time Rush, a band that found success on a Nickelodeon show and has since launched into mainstream success. The cries of the mostly female crowd, whose average age hovered in the young teens, were piercing for several of Big Time Rush’s hits such as “Boyfriend,” “Til I forget about you” and “The City is Ours.”
If the teen and “tween” screams were not enough to indicate Big Time Rush was the crowd’s main focus, their CDs and T-shirts were the first to sell out, according to vendors at the event. The line to have autographs signed was populated by several hundred people and stretched from the Charlie Springs Gate in the northeast corner of SPAC to more than 100 yards past the concession area.
